Turkey Sweet Potato Chili

Goes so well with cilantro and sour cream as a topping or cheddar cheese and avocado

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb extra lean ground turkey
  • 1  onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 10 oz can tomatoes with juice
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 medium sweet potato, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch cubes
  • fresh cilantro
  • low fat cheddar cheese
  • fat free sour cream
  • 1 avocado diced

Cook in slow cooker for 8 hours
