I came across a study done by the Cooper Institute (Cooper Center Longitudinal Study) about the effects of exercise on cancer patients, specifically ones with lung and colorectal cancer. The study showed that cardiorespiratory fitness reduced their risk by 55% and 44%. That’s incredible.
Their results also showed that cardiorespiratory fitness decreased the risk of death and cardiovascular disease especially in older people, even if they were diagnosed with cancer.
